Their staples were beer and bread. I’m not even sure they ate breakfast.
“Breakfast” is a term derived from the Catholic Church. It means to eat after fasting. To fast was a regular part of their religious regimen. So to eat after a fast, literally means to “break” the “fast”: hence “break”"fast”.

As far as taking care of their teeth, I don’t think they did. Dental hygiene didn’t come into existence until modern times; the only thing I think they could do, was simply pick their teeth with a twig or something.
In Full Time Day Care Settings Do They Brush The Teeth On 1 Year Old Children?
i am doing an assignment and have to plan the care routines of a 1 year old and a 3 year old. it’s going okay but i am confused as to whether or not day care settings would brush 1 year old childrens teeth after breakfast? anyone who works in fulltime day care, or has a child of 1 that goes to day care PLEASE ANSWER!!
