Do Dental Implants Hurt?
I heard it does, but i’m not sure. And they say it’s made of titanium, when i’m older i want to save up money to replace my 3rd front tooth, but it might stand out..Also if it’s titanium won’t the colour be like silver or grey?
I thought it would be drilling a hole in your gum, putting a real tooth cell in it or something, stitch it back up and you get a real tooth but not a fake one. -grunt-

A dental crown goes over the titanium screw. It looks just like you’re other teeth.
It doesn’t hurt even when they place it (you’re numb) and it doesn’t hurt afterwards.
only at first.
The actual operation is usually done with anaesthetic so it doesn’t hurt. However, you can feel some pressure from where the dentist is operating and if they are a bit heavy handed this can make your jaw hurt up near your ears (which is not anaesthesized).
Once the anaesthetic wears off it will hurt however the amount it hurts varies from person to person and depends on how much work you had done.
You do not usually get real teeth reimplanted unless you have had them knocked out and preserved them properly on the trip to the dentists – in which case they would cut your gums, reinsert the tooth and temporarily bridge it in place.
The supports for your dental implant are made out of titanium, which is silver/grey, that’s right. But the fake tooth you would be getting is white and is usually indistinguishable from your real teeth apart from where it joins to your jaw.
